About the UNIGIS Institution:
The Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS), with over 18,000 students and 2,800 employees in research, teaching and administration is the largest educational institution in both the city and province of Salzburg, Austria. The ‘Zentrum für Geoinformatik’ offers the UNIGIS programmes in Salzburg.
UNIGIS Salzburg offers internationally recognized academic distance learning qualifications in GIScience and Systems through a one-year UNIGIS Professional Diploma Certificate or a two-year postgraduate Master of Science (MSc).
The UNIGIS Masters programme provides an understanding of the conceptual, technical, and organisational aspects of GIScience whereas the UNIGIS Professional Diploma programme develops or improves application-oriented skills and develops an understanding of GIS. Both programmes are offered in German and English.
Individuals aiming at a career in GI or professionals already active in this field who are interested in continuing education or pursuing an academic qualification while working will find these distance learning programmes particularly attractive.
