About the UNIGIS Institution:
UNIGIS Latin America is a network of universities and people, who have cooperated since 1999 in the design of distance learning programmes. Today, UNIGIS Latin America offers distance education curricula in GIScience and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in close cooperation with our partners in Salzburg (Austria) and study centers in several countries in Latin America. The program is focused on continued learning, supporting professionals who continue to work whilst learning and people people pursuing a career in Geoinformatics.
UNIGIS Latin America comprises of the following study centers:
- ARGENTINA – Universidad de Belgrano (UB), Buenos Aires
- BRASIL – Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ)
- CHILE – Universidad Santiago de Chile (USACH)
- COLOMBIA – Universidad ICESI, Cali
- ECUADOR – Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Quito
- MEXICO – Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), D.F.
- PERU – Universidad Nacional Federico Villareal (UNFV), Lima
